We write for readers who take scripture seriously and are also genuinely curious about it.
We're not affiliated with any single denomination. Our aim is to be useful to anyone who reads the Bible — Catholic, Protestant, Orthodox, or simply curious — by focusing on what the text itself says, what history and archaeology can tell us about it, and what's genuinely debated among scholars, rather than promoting one tradition's interpretation over another.
Every story and curiosity on this site is grounded in the biblical text itself, cross-checked against historical and archaeological sources where relevant. Where scholars disagree — on a translation, a date, or a detail — we try to say so plainly rather than pick a side and present it as settled.
