🕰️ Job’s story refuses to be dated

Job 1:1

Unlike almost every other Old Testament book, Job never mentions a king, a nation, a war, or
any other event historians can pin to a date. There’s no reference to Israel’s law, priesthood,
or temple at all. It may be the oldest story in the Bible, or simply written to stand outside of
time on purpose.
